Therefore we said, ‘Let us now prepare to build us an altar, not for burnt offering nor for sacrifice,

As a result we said, ‘Let’s protect ourselves by building an altar. It isn’t to be for an entirely burned offering or for sacrifice.’
So we said, ‘Let us now make preparations and build ourselves an altar, not for burnt offerings or sacrifices,
That's why we decided to build the altar. It isn't for offering sacrifices, not even sacrifices to please the Lord.
And we said, Let us now set to work to build an altar, not for burnt-offering, nor for sacrifice,
And said: Let us build us an altar, not for holocausts, nor to offer victims,
“So we decided to build this altar. But we did not plan to use it for burning offerings and sacrifices.
That is why we decided to build this altar. It will not be an altar where we make sacrifices or burnt offerings.
So we said, “Come on now, let us build an altar—but not for burnt offerings and not for sacrifice.”
Therefore we said, ‘Let us now build an altar, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice,
Therefore we said, ‘Let us now build an altar, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice,
“That is why we decided to build this altar. But it is not for burnt offerings [Lev. 1:1–17] and sacrifices.
Therefore we said, We will now go about to make us an altar, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice,
Then we said, ‘Let’s build an altar for ourselves. It will not be for burnt offerings or sacrifices,
So we built an altar, not to burn sacrifices or make offerings,
“Therefore we said: Let us take action and build an altar for ourselves, but not for burnt offering or sacrifice.
“So we decided to build this altar. But we did not plan to use it for burning sacrifices and making offerings.
“That’s why we said, ‘Let’s build an altar for ourselves, not for burnt offerings or sacrifice,
Therefore we said, Let us now work to build us an altar, not for burnt offering nor for sacrifice,
Therefore we said, Let us now prepare to build us an altar, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice:

“Therefore we said, ‘Let us build an altar, not for burnt offering or for sacrifice;
So we said, ‘Let us build immediately for ourselves an altar, not for burnt offerings or for sacrifices;
So we decided to build the altar as a symbol to show our children and your children that we, too, may worship the Lord with our burnt offerings and peace offerings and sacrifices, and your children will not be able to say to ours, ‘You have no part in the Lord our God.’
“So we said to ourselves, ‘Let’s do something. Let’s build an altar—but not for Whole-Burnt-Offerings, not for sacrifices.’
“So we said to each other, ‘Let us build this altar, not for burnt offering or sacrifice,
Then we said, ‘Let’s build an altar for ourselves. It will not be for burnt offerings or sacrifices,
So we thought, ‘Let us act for ourselves by building this altar of our own’—not for burnt offerings or sacrifice,
“Therefore we said, ‘Let’s build an altar, not for burnt offering or for sacrifice;
“Therefore we said, ‘Let us build an altar, not for burnt offering or for sacrifice;
This is why we said to ourselves, ‘Let us prepare for it and build an altar, but not for burnt offerings or sacrifices.’
“That is why we decided to build this altar. But it is not for burnt offerings and sacrifices.
So we decided to build this altar, not for burnt offerings and sacrifices,
“That’s why we said to ourselves, ‘Let’s get ready and build an altar. But let’s not build it to offer burnt offerings or sacrifices on it.’
“That is why we said, ‘Let us get ready and build an altar—but not for burnt offerings or sacrifices.’
‘That is why we said, “Let us get ready and build an altar – but not for burnt offerings or sacrifices.”
Therefore we said, ‘Let us now prepare to build ourselves an altar, not for burnt offering nor for sacrifice,
So we said, ‘Let us build an altar. It will not be for burnt gifts or killing animals in worship.
“So we decided to build the altar, not for burnt offerings or sacrifices,
Therefore we said, “Let us now build an altar, not for burnt-offering, nor for sacrifice,
Therefore we said, “Let us now build an altar, not for burnt-offering, nor for sacrifice,

And we thought, should that day ever come, we could point to this altar and say, “Look, this constructed altar dedicated to Him was not set up to sacrifice on, but to be a witness here at the border between us that we serve the same God so that your children will not accuse our children of following other gods.”
“Therefore we said, ‘Let’s now prepare to build ourselves an altar, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice;
Therefore we guessed (it) better, and we said, Build we an altar to us, not into burnt sacrifices, neither to sacrifices to be offered, (And so we thought about it, and we said to each other, Let us build an altar for ourselves, not for burnt sacrifices, nor for sacrifices to be offered,)
`And we say, Pray let us prepare for ourselves to build the altar -- not for burnt-offering nor for sacrifice --
